I am a portrait and product photographer based in Clifton, New Jersey.
Whether personal portraits, family sessions, or branding shoots in the studio or on location, I focus on providing you with an enjoyable experience that yields authentic results.
Why I Do What I Do
I am a family man, a photographer, and a firm believer in the magic of individuality. As a teenager beginning to explore the creative world of photography, I found my heart drawn to capturing the true essence of people, their personalities and quirks, and that sparkle in their eyes when they are being themselves and having a good time.
A Bit About Me
The first time I touched a camera was in high school during art class. It was a Minolta, and I was hooked. I have been taking and making pictures ever since.
I was born in Haiti and moved to Brooklyn at age 14, where I grew up with my sisters and cousins. I learned my work ethic working at my uncle's restaurant.
After graduating college, I married my wife Marie and moved to New Jersey. I am proud to say I am a "girl dad" and share two wonderful daughters with my wife. My family has been my inspiration both in life and behind the camera.
Life, One Moment at a Time
Years ago, I was photographing a high school event when a grandmother approached me, teary-eyed, and thanked me. Her granddaughter, a shy girl who didn't have many friends, had always kept to herself. But in those photos, there were moments where she genuinely smiled—moments she didn't even know she had.
That's when I knew photography was more than just a job for me—it's about noticing and capturing those moments that people weren't even aware were happening.
That experience helped me define my photographic journey. I am a photographer who blends creativity with empathy.

When you step in front of my camera, my goal is to make you forget it's even there.
I've found that the best photos come when people are relaxed and in their element. That's why I take the time to connect with my subjects so that candid moments happen naturally. Whether it's a family portrait, a branding shoot, or a special occasion, my aim is always the same: to make you feel at ease and to capture you being you.

To say it was a pleasure to work with Allen is an understatement. My husband and I had the opportunity to work with him both in his studio for our engagement photo shoot as well as at the venue for our wedding.
For both experiences communication was key, we were in constant communication for both events, be it discussing outfit options, organizing a meeting location to finalize details for the process, the priorities, and more.
For our in studio session Allen had great pose suggestions, and was also open to poses that we wanted to try making the experience flow easily and comfortably.
For our wedding photos, we were able to meet prior to the day to discuss wants and priorities. Allen was very thorough and organized with his overview of expectations, including documents showing my husband and I possible photo genres (wedding prep, venue photos, first look, etc.). This made the expectations of the wedding day so much easier, knowing that Allen already knew what photos we wanted to be taken that day. He was also flexible with timing, and changing of locations on our wedding day!
Allen was very detail oriented, and worked in a timely manner for both events. He did the job with such care, and the final products exceeded our expectations. We have nothing but praise for AJP Images LLC. We highly recommend him for any of your events.
